It's strange that she didn't have a wound to lick prior to getting her groomed. So they did not make the issue right by returning our money or offering to pay the vet bill. I am disappointed and cannot recommend their services.

Jeff Patrick is an amazing trainer. He took my loving, but unruly 1 yr old shepard/heeler mix and turned him into a gentleman in 8 days.

Leaving our fur babies with Marla and Jeff is just like having family care for them while we are away. The Smoky Valley team ensures that we can enjoy our time away with total confidence that our four-legged kids are safe, will have fun and get plenty of lovin'! When we relocated to KS from PA we searched long and hard to find the care we wanted for our kids....Smoky Valley is that place....thanks for taking care of our fur babies like they are your own!

I own many dogs! Imports from Germany and Romania. We have a lot of time, money and love invested in our dog family. Smokey Valley Dog Center is the only Facility we TRUST any of our dogs to go to. Boarding, training or Grooming. They have one of the best and most knowledgeable Groomers around. She has been doing it for many years not as a hobby but as a life long career!!! They treat your dogs like family!!! They treat you like family too!!! Just the best around, what more can I say!!!

i have been going to svdc for 7 years for boarding and training. every aspect of my experience has been top notch. great place to bring your dog.

I heard great things about Smoky Valley Dog Center. I am truly saddened that we had a bad experience. We took our dog to be groomed at Smoky Valley Dog Center. When we picked our border collie she had what looked like razor burns (like when you shave your legs too close)on her inner thigh and one side of her teat area. Our dog had been groomed many other times by a different groomer with no issues. We thought it would the razor burns would clear up in couple of days. I took pictures of the affected area. I had to go out of town for some medical tests. When I returned the skin on our dog's tummy looked blistered like a second degree burn. Clippers can get extremely hot and burn the skin. I googled what to do about the burn. We put a thin layer of hydrocortisone cream. The wound scabbed over and was looking better til last night and our dog licked the scab off. I emailed pictures and explained the situation to Smoky Valley Dog Center and asked them to make the issue right. They wanted to see our dog. We took our dog back out for them to see the now raw wound. They basically said it was not their issue and it was because our dog licked the wound.
